Chris Jones - Varsity Head Coach (27th season)
Coach Jones enters his 17th season as a Head Basketball Coach compiling an overall 281-186 record, while finishing 102-68 in league play, and guiding his teams to the C.I.F. playoffs in 13 of his 16 head coaching seasons. As an Assistant Coach at La Canada and Vista Murrieta High Schools for 10 seasons, he has coached 7 league champions while reaching the C.I.F. semifinals 3 times and the C.I.F. quarterfinals 5 times. In addition, he has guided Murrieta Mesa to the State Regional Tournament 1 time and Vista Murrieta to the State Regional Tournament 2 times, advancing all the way to the semi-final round all three times. As a player, Chris earned a Division 1 scholarship playing at Southern Utah University and the University of Nevada, Reno after earning All-State Honors at Pasadena City College and All C.I.F. Honors at La Canada High School. Chris has served as a men's coach for 12 seasons, a women's coach for 11 seasons, and the Athletic Director at Bellflower High School for 3 years. Chris, his wife Polly, and their children Casey, Sierra, Justin, and Jack are proud to be Rams!

Russell Ham - Assistant Varsity Coach (27th season)
Russell Ham grew up in Brea, CA. graduating from Brea-Olinda High School in 1988. He continued his education at Whittier College receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology. He then went on to receive his Master of Arts degree in Education with emphasis in Middle Grades from California State University of San Bernardino. Russell taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Physical Education at Washington Middle School in La Habra, Ca. for 4 years and has taught 6 years at Thompson Middle School, here in Murrieta. He has coached high school boy’s basketball for 26 years; 15 years at Brea-Olinda, 3 years at Murrieta Valley, 2 years at Vista Murrieta, and 6 years for Murrieta Mesa High School.
Eddy Delgado - Assistant Varsity Coach (5th Season)
Coach Delgado enters his 5th season as a high school basketball coach. In his 1st season, Coach Delgado guided his team to a 23-1 overall record, including a Southwestern League Championship with a perfect 10-0 record. Coach Delgado spent his prep years at Corning High School and then was part of the San Diego Mesa Junior College program. Coach Delgado assisted in creating the basketball program at Dorothy McElhinney Middle School in Murrieta and has coached in the Murrieta community for the past 9 years. In addition to working in the Murrieta community, he has been part of the And One Youth Basketball program guiding and coaching in the San Diego North County. He is an energetic, dedicated, and high character coach.
Mike Bertulfo - Head JV Coach (6th Season)
Michael Bertulfo is an enthusiastic young coach who comes to Mesa with two years of experience as an assistant in the Vista Murrieta basketball program in addition to AAU coaching experience. While at Vista Murrieta he helped lead the freshman team to a League Championship in 2014 and the JV team to another League Championship in 2015 with an overall record of 40-9 and 18-2 in league play. Michael played varsity basketball at Vista Murrieta winning a league title in 2008. Michael is working on completing a teaching credential program and is excited to help build a successful basketball program here at Mesa.
Bill Rennie - Head Freshmen Coach (27th Season)
Coach Rennie has been involved with basketball in the Valley for the last 24 years, ranging from youth basketball to high school programs. He started out coaching basketball in the Perris, Parents and Coaches Youth Association in the early 90’s. For 5 years he oversaw Linfield Christian’s Middle School basketball program. Bill was brought up to the High School ranks for Linfield, serving 3 years as the head coach at the JV level. His last year at Linfield was as an assistant Varsity coach.
Bill played basketball for Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute (currently Eastern Maine Community College) as a college student. Through continuing education, he recently received his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety and Emergency Management. Bill has been married for 24 wonderful years to Marceline and they have two young men in college.
